Who is Eligible to Play?

Registration is limited to 2Way Club Team families. Boys from outside the program will be consisered based upon availability.


The Details

2Way Lacrosse is excited and proud to launch the 2W Box Development Program. The program was designed to both elevate field lacrosse techniques + introduce new skills through box-specific drills & reps. Our goal is to provide a box experience that continues to grow the love of the game for our players through a unique and unmatched lacrosse experience.

2023-2024 Box Development Program will be offered to the following age groups:

  • 2027 (9th grade)

  • 2028 (8th grade)

  • 2029 (7th grade)

  • 2030 (6th grade)

  • 2031 (5th grade)

  • We recommend that our younger players (1st-4th) join our THREEs Box League for box lacrosse game reps. This is an FUN way to introduce playing box lacrosse in a turfed rink with boards / glass. CLICK HERE for all details.

THE PROGRAM

The 2W Box Development Program consists of two components:

  1. Box Skills & Team Practices

  2. Box Tournament Play

1. Box Skills / Team Practices

  • TBD # of Sessions

    • Please note: Players will be required to purchase a 2W custom box jersey prior to the season (online store link will be sent out in September).

  • A mix of skill & technique development through box-specific drills

  • Practice days will likely be Saturday EVENING / NIGHT

2. BOX TOURNAMENT TEAM / SELECTION PROCESS

  • 1 team per grad year will be selected to participate in the official box lacrosse tournaments

  • Each team will attend 2-3 official box tournaments

  1. Mapleleaf Kick-Off (PA)

    • December 16 (Sat)

      • All age groups play on Saturday

  2. Northeast Regional (PA)

    • January 6-7 (Sat-Sun)

      • TBD which dates each age group plays (or if both days)

  3. CT Box Championships (CT)

    • January 13-14

      • 28, 29, 30, 31 will be ONE DAY (either Sat or Sun… exact day TBD)

      • 27 will likely be BOTH days (Sat night + Sun morning)

  4. Best in Box (PA)

    • January 27-29 (Sat-Sun)

      • TBD which dates each age group plays

  5. Founders Cup (PA)

    • February 3-4 (Sat-Sun)

      • TBD which dates each age group plays (or if both days)

  6. NXT Philadelphia Indoor Box Championships (PA)

    • February 17 (Sat): 27

    • February 18 (Sun): 28, 29, 30, 31
